Lavender Festival Starts Tomorrow

One of the biggest events here on the North Olympic Peninsula is the annual Lavender Festival in Sequim. It starts tomorrow and continues through Sunday. Last year about 30,000 people came to enjoy the lavender in full bloom.

This summer has been so cool and damp, that the lavender is not yet in full bloom. :(

You can see the little buds are still closed up tight. I'll keep you posted on the festival.
